How’s that for a contrast to Jason’s lovely black and white photo series? This stuff I’m working on now I’m really having fun with, but it won’t be done for some time. I may finish other things sooner which I’ll show you, but I’ll be uploading details like these in the meantime. I think they’re kinda fun to look at.

New WIP Up Close/ Fun & Fruity

I often start a painting by laying down highly saturated layers of paint. The final piece rarely ends up being so intensely bright as the initial stages, but it’s fun to start this way and reshape things as I go.

Today, I’m posting a few detail shots of something I’m working on now. This one is acrylic on metal. The whole piece is circular in format. It’s for a project being organized by someone else so I have an actual deadline for this one. That means there will definitely be a finished piece to post here soon. Really.
As you can see, I’m still practicing crafting exciting, attention-grabbing headlines. Maybe I’ll move on to writing exciting posts some time in the near future, too. Ya never know. For now, all I can offer are these detail photos because frankly, I’m uncomfortable showing you what the overall piece looks like in it’s present state.
