Fetishistic finger-licking toupe.

I’ve got nothing. I’ve been busy doing other things than making art the past couple of weeks, like  making some sort of a living, so I apologize for  being a kill joy.

Here’s some erotic toe-sucking :

From The Archives

I’m in full hibernation mode, all I do most days is shovel shit tons of snow and break up ice so the last thing I feel like doing at the end of the day is to make art. My first thought was to steal JD’s idea and make a little animated movie of one of the dozens of ridiculous fights we have in our Facebook art discussion group, but the program thwarted that idea by only allowing me two actors when at least 12 would be needed. In the process I found this old video I made before I had the dream blog and was still exploring how to present them. In the mean time, you’ll have to excuse me while I go back to bed and hope it’s spring when I next wake.

For some reason it won’t embed so if you want you can watch it here.

Frank Stella

Yesterday was great. I spent the day building my own indoor studio in the room that was up until recently occupied by a giant breathing bottle of tequila, which sounds preposterous but I swear it is true. It took all day, and in the process I had to make a much bigger mess, but at the end of the day there was a huge, completely functional space. Initially the intention was to make the space and then make some art to post for today, but at 10:30 pm I realized it wasn’t going to happen, so I’m going to post this cool interview from Frank Stella instead.

I Just Feel Like Sharing This

When I was out in California I saw William Kentridge’s Magic Flute video installation. I usually don’t have the patience for video work but it was mesmerizing, and soothing to my Stendhal Syndrome tummy. I thought about posting it here but since an integral part of the piece is the 3D structure it’s housed in it doesn’t seem to translate effectively for the internet. I found this piece instead, Wanting…And Weighing (1997), I hope you like it.

It’s been a while since darteboard paid tribute to pigmeat. Time to rectify this oversight.

Bacon Rocket

Our fascination with all things bacon is well documented here on d’Arte Board but Joel from Rathergood takes it to a whole other level. He also proves that the internet is made of cats, something some of us have known all along, but it’s nice to see proven with charts and graphs and a catchy tune.

Saturday Morning Not Entirely A Cartoon

I found this via this amusing new web service, just as random as Chatroulette but somewhat less likely to turn up penises.

Saturday Morning Cartoons: The Melvins Visit Pancake Mountain

Alright, it’s not a cartoon and the sound quality sucks harder than Punxatawny Phil, but it’s got a puppet, The Melvins (doing karaoke!) and a buncha little kids thrashing to The Melvins.  See now, I was right–even tots love these guys.

The Milky Way from MGM. Rated S for saccharine. Grab some bacon for balance* and enjoy it over breakfast.

Walt Cassidy

Walt’s an old friend from back in the club days, and I have always looked up to him for his seemingly effortless style and creativity. I say seemingly because I know how much craft he puts into everything he does, there are no half measures with Mister Cassidy and I am not surprised in the slightest at the success he has had. We’ve come a long way from the days of wigs and cha cha heels. Here is a video from Style Curator where he details his process.
