Digging Up The Past

As an occasional self-portrait artist this makes me giggle a little. Is it really so important to know if Leonardo was really the Mona Lisa or not? How, if at all, would that change the public perception? On the other hand, I love a good drag queen and if this is true then he’s the mother of them all.

    Leo would have said “dude, all portraits are really self-portraits”. I think I made this point somewhere before….

    I don’t think it would a difference in the value of the Mona Lisa but wouldn’t it be cool to have a piece of Da Vinci’s skull?

    The very idea sucks! Dig up a man’s skull to ID an art subject? Is this payback for artists wandering over into the Science Department?
