Last weekend, I was invited to decorate the sidewalks for the Halloween Canal Creature Crawl–an event organized by another local artist to highlight our city’s new walkway alongside the old industrial canals.  Unfortunately, as of Halloween morning, I was still not finished with my costume and what was expected to be a sunny day began as a drizzly mess.  These details did nothing to inspire holiday enthusiasm in me.  Luckily, my pal MarkieB agreed to help with the sidewalk drawing and some last minute costume needs.  More results after the jump!

The wet sidewalks were an interesting surface to draw on. The rain sorta melted the chalk and made it act more like cheap paint than chalk. That along with being pressed for time forced a slight departure from what has become my typical sidewalk doodling style. These were all done pretty fast.
