Painting Reception TONIGHT @ APE in Northampton, MA
Present Tense, a show featuring the works of four abstract painters–Barbara Neulinger, Clint Jukkala, Sean Greene and Yvonne Estrada–opened at A.P.E. Gallery in Northampton, MA this week. If you like paint, if you like abstraction, if you like to look at beautiful things, this is a show not to be missed! The reception is tonight from 5 to 8 pm. Hope to see some of you there!

Yvonne Estrada, Sean Greene, Clint Jukkala and Barbara Neulinger are each deeply involved in formal elements of abstract painting, while drawing inspiration from sources such as skateboarding, fisherman’s knots and 80′s video games. The open and neutral quality of the space will provide the opportunity for visitors to engage in a dynamic dialogue between these four painters’ works.
Sharing a reverence for the strong, visual impact associated with the color and spatial manipulation employed by painters such as Josef Albers, Henri Matisse and Joan Mitchell, these four contemporaries carry on with the conviction that the language of abstraction continues to contribute to our visual culture in profound and meaningful ways.
