Get yourself some chalk! I’m a fan of Crayola–they put more pigment in the chalk so the colors are more intense than any of the other brands I’ve tried.
Seriously though, it’s lots of fun and a great way to meet neighbors. I can’t tell you how many people have stopped to say hi and tell me how much they love walking past and seeing what’s new on the sidewalk. Smiley people gravitate to you when you’re squatting on the sidewalk coloring outside the lines.
