thank you, Ma’am. you know, i’ve been wanting to make cupcakes since i drew that one. stupid thing is, i can’t eat cupcakes–wheat and dairy make me sick. i’ll prolly still make some and feed them to the kids down the street and the guys at the bike shop. WABU said that monster thing was a portrait of his brother, Mr. Brown.

Wish I could secretly put the top drawing inside some yet to be discovered Egyptian tomb as bas relief. And…this time of year I miss my grandmother’s molasses ginger snap flavored cupcakes. Why she made them only during this time of the year I have no idea. I hear there’s an ice cream place in Berkeley, CA called “Ici” which features that flavor, and another called “Santa Rosa plum”.

somehow, molasses and ginger seem very Autumn appropriate. There’s a place around here that makes a jalapeno flavored ice cream. they also make an amazing soy-based ice cream, but they only offer one flavor of the non-dairy treat at a time. every week features a different flavor so it’s fun to stop by randomly and see what “No-Moo” is on the board.
