Out With the Old…
So, here we are, President Bush is officially an ex-president, and it’s time for us to consider what we’re moving forward from. Hopefully we will update this over the course of the day, as well as another post celbrating the inauguration and the art of what’s going forward.
But for now, a montage of the past 8 years…

Portrait by Jonathan Yeo collaged together with images from 100 porographic magazines.

“George Bush at Abu Ghraib” by Peter Saul

“In Love With Oil” (from phocks.org)

I don’t know the title, but the photo is attributed to The Blue Noses. Apparently these photos were confiscated by Russian Customs Agents who didn’t think it was appropriate to depict heads of state in a sexual manner.

“Sleeping Soundly (George W. Bush)” by
Max Emadi
and, for good measure, another by Emadi:

“George W. Bush addenta il collo della Statua della Libertà.
” Soggett & Ego

Photo taken near the Ocean Beach Pier south of San Diego by Jason Gray
Regarding the Iraq War:

“Collateral” by Jean-Christian Bourcart. “I projected photographs of mutilated and dead Iraqis on American houses, supermarkets, churches, and parking lots…”

“Capriccio” by Gerald Laing

“Used,” Chewing Gum on Canvas by Kerry Lafferty

“Iraqi Child” by me. Copied from a photograph taken during the Iraqi Conflict.
Regarding Katrina
This is by Barry Blitt, the same artist who caught heat for his portrayal of the Obamas as fist dapping terrorists.
