OH! KELLY CLARKSON!!
I love the colors and texture in all three of these. I especially like the composition of the first smaller one. It may need to join my collection of small Gerolimatos works. Great job!
as you know, because you are sitting right next to me, my jaw has been on the floor since i saw the first one for the first time yesterday. great picture but it really doesn’t do the real thing justice.
btw, i have just such an accretion on my posterior!
I’m gonna give you a compliment, so get ready to have your hat size stretched. Your work , this work, acts as a hot sauce that circumvents my taste buds, travelling directly through the eye sockets.
I agree with Toni T. Scary! There’s this visceral capture going on that one runs to mommy about, like learning how to fry eggs at age ten, breaking open one and finding it bloody.
These are such small pieces and yet render something larger. I worry what might happen should you be allowed to point a collapsing star to melt things with Gamma radiation, instead of a mere heat gun! Just spare my planet, please.
You’ve got dots on your mind, it looks like, Steph. The first one is really stunning with its 3d starburst formation. It looks both radiant and somehow organic at the same time, two qualities I woould have a hard time infusing anything with, like something from a vivd hallucination. The latter two pieces have a lovely color scheme playing out among them, on one hand vivid, yet also somewhat subtle and girly.
bloody eggs my friends! i appreciate all your thoughts on this stuff. i feel sort of guilty for not offering a more expanded response to your comments but your replies spark a thought process that isn’t ready to be verbalized. so for now, i’ll just talk to myself while i make some more art.
